I'm Matt Silver, co-founder & CEO of Cargado — an AI-native marketplace connecting freight brokers and trucking companies moving Mexico and Canada freight.
I've spent nearly two decades in logistics, including 17 years brokering freight with a heavy focus on Mexico. I built and scaled the Mexico division at Coyote Logistics, founded Forager (a cross-border freight tech company acquired by Arrive Logistics in 2022), and then led the Mexico business at Arrive as VP of Cross-Border Solutions before starting Cargado.
Today, Cargado connects 230+ brokerages with 1,800+ carriers (250,000+ trucks and 400,000+ trailers). We've raised $22M from Primary Venture Partners, Ironspring Ventures, Assembly Ventures, LGVP, Conversion Capital, Wischoff Ventures, Proeza Ventures, RyderVentures, Sahil Bloom, Zenda Capital, and other founder-operators.
What we do is pretty straightforward: help brokers quote and cover Mexico and Canada freight faster. That means market rates, vetted carriers, and workflow to actually execute — not just another place to post and pray.
Outside of Cargado, I advise and invest in early-stage startups in freight and supply chain. I write a newsletter (originally Congrats on All the Progress) — read it here. When I'm not doing that, I'm with my wife and two kids in the Chicago suburbs, or thinking about Chicago sports.

This is the real-life dog who became the Cargado logo and mascot. Black-and-white, slightly skeptical of strangers, deeply unbothered by the trucker hat. Every load board needs a face — ours has eyebrows.
